Our clients loved their charming, early Greek Revival farmhouse and its location on a large lot adjacent to Bowdoin College, but there were a lot of things about the house they did not love. We worked with them to design bright, open spaces with easy flow between indoors and out, and a unique garage-like building tailored for how they would use it. Catherine Weiland of Balance Design Studio brought her creativity to the kitchen design and contractor Benjamin & Company did a fantastic job of building with attention to detail. The homeowner brought her interior design and pottery-making experiences to make the spaces warm and inviting. Photos by Erin LIttle.
